CAS celebrates 58th foundation week

The College of Arts and Sciences will celebrate its 58th Anniversary from July 20 to 24, 2009 with the theme Pagsulong Tungo sa Susunod na Siglo.

The Foundation Week shall start with an Opening Ceremony on Monday, 8 am at the CAS Oblation Garden for the flag raising. This will be followed by a light breakfast (Almusalang Bayan) before we have the formal program at the Little Theater at 9 am.

No less than the Chancellor, Dr Ramon L Arcadio, is expected to grace our opening ceremony. Also, Ms Nicole Guihot, Acting Counselor, Political-Economic and Public Affairs, of the Australian Embassy to the Philippines, will give the keynote speech.

After the closing remark of Prof Marilen Parungao, Chair of Department of Biology and the 58th CAS Foundation Week Committee, we shall open the exhibit of the different departments which highlight the achievements of the departments as well as their most precious resource--the faculty.

A copy of both the program for the opening ceremony and the schedule of the weeklong activities is attached for your reference. We anticipate your active participation in this weeklong program.
